N26 is a German direct, mostly online, bank, headquartered in Berlin, Germany.

N26 offers its services throughout most of the Eurozone, UK, Switzerland and US. It is expected to start operating in Brazil soon.

It was founded in February 2013 by Valentin Stalf & Maximilian Tayenthal.

I have been using this bank already for more than 1 year and I can highly recommend it to anybody!

I was so surprised how fast the foreign transactions go with N26, it happened to me many times that I didn’t even have to wait for another day, it arrived still the very same day – and without any fees! Amazing 🙃

Also I have been using it even in Africa (during my travels in Guinea), and even there I withdrawed money twice from a local bank ATM, and the fee was so low that if I exchanged my money (EUR) to local guineen francs (which seemed complicated in general), I would actually lose much much more than by withdrawing from a trustworthy ATM!

Update 2020: Still loving it, they have some new features available, some new premium options, but I am still staying within the basic one, and it’s amazing enough for me. I have been traveling with this card in South Korea, Albania, Guinea and it was a smooth and positive experience in any of them, even while withdrawing money I was really surprised by the very very low fees (in Albania even zero fees but you have to be careful which ATM to take, doesn’t matter which bank you use:)))
